BitcoinTravel — Book Flights, Stays and Tours With Bitcoin
BitcoinTravel is a travel marketplace where the whole trip is paid in Bitcoin: flights, stays and activities in a single app, with the wallet, the bank account and the card living side by side in the same account.
Two hard things met here. A booking flow is already one of the longest in consumer software — search, filter, compare, pick seats, enter passenger data, pay. And crypto checkout adds steps that no traveller has ever seen: choosing a network, scanning a wallet QR, waiting for confirmation. The design had to make the second feel as ordinary as the first.
Paying in Bitcoin, Without Making the Traveller Learn Crypto
At checkout, Bitcoin and card sit as two equal options, and choosing Bitcoin only adds what is strictly necessary: pick the network, scan the code, done. The wallet lives inside the same Accounts screen as the bank account and the card, so crypto reads as one more payment method instead of a separate world. The dark interface with a single orange accent does the routing: everything you can act on is orange, everything else stays quiet.
Three Marketplaces in One App, Plus the Host Side
The prototype covers flights, stays and activities from the same search bar, with the full flight path — results over a map, filters for stops, luggage, price and duration, itinerary detail, passenger data and checkout. Stays and tours run on their own cards with ratings, cancellation policy and reviews. And there is a second product underneath: the host dashboard, where a tour operator publishes an activity and follows its reach, comments and bookings.
All of it was delivered as an interactive prototype over a consistent dark design system, specified so the booking and payment flows could go straight into build.
